The Code4Lib Conference was awesome this year, as usual. Always a great gathering of a ‘community of practice’ dedicated to practical library tech innovation (really, it builds that community).
Thanks to Robert McDonald and the organizing committees for a great conference.
Did you present, long form or lightning? Almost all the presentations were on something worthwhile and interesting — I encourage you to consider writing it up in narrative form for the Code4Lib Journal. Did you see something you wanted to know more about or think deserves a wider audience? Contact a presenter and tell them so and suggest they submit to the Journal!
Slides and even recorded video can, for many audiences’ learning/communication styles, only take you so far in disseminating your techniques, ideas, and tools. Write it up narratively in a venue like the Journal that will reach a wider audience with a clear explanation of what, why, and how – and help us keep building on one another’s innovations to increase our collective capacity.
